Craftizan was started in 2011, and was born from my experiences running a Craft Café in Southampton. Sadly ‘The Lounge’ had to close but I saw from this, a need to promote wealth of skills and expertise of the Craftspeople and Artists I met during my time at the Café.
I was constantly meeting incredibly talented people and also many people wanting to learn new Art and Craft skills. I saw that there was no one venue or network that linked these people together and promoted traditional and artisan skills in a world full of mass production and large businesses.
I also felt a need to support these Craftspeople, as having been part of setting up a small business myself, I knew how hard it was, and how valuable it is to have contacts in the community and the Arts world.
Craftizan is now organising and running a range of Craft workshops in Southampton and promoting individual artists and Craft people…we are currently working with small, select group of ‘Craftizans’ however we are always looking for new talent, ideas and partnerships !!
I run Craftizan (www.craftizan.co.uk) a local craft company that organises, promotes and run Craft workshops, parties, and arranges tutoring and commissions.
Craftizan has a network of contacts in the South East region with teaching and practical skills of a high quality, as well as marketing, promotion and events skills to support our Artists and Craftspeople. We also train Craftspeople in teaching skills to run professional workshops.

We organise and run Vintage events and workshops as part of the many skills we offer!
