Gerald Scarfe is the UK’s most prominent political cartoonist, known for his acerbic and uncompromising satire – his work has appeared in The Sunday Times for 50 years. Scarfe’s unmistakable characters and worlds have also been given life on stage and screen. From Pink Floyd’s The Wall (1979) to English National Ballet’s The Nutcracker (2002), this is the first UK touring exhibition to explore his extensive work in film, opera and ballet design.

If you see a giant inflatable whale in Basingstoke town centre, it won’t be your eyes deceiving you - it will be part of the ‘Art In Unusual Places’ event.
Art In Unusual Places is a free and family-friendly event which promises to be packed with jaw-dropping modern art exhibits alongside street theatre, face painting and creative workshops for children.
The art in this exhibition is a response to prehistoric man's influence on today's landscape, and a reflection on our relationship with the distant past. Mysterious stone circles, intriguing barrows, exhilarating hill forts and illuminating finds: the essence of history, of human hopes and fears over the years.
Andover Museum is open from 10:00 - 17:00 Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 - 16:00 Saturday. Entrance to the exhibition is free, but donations are welcome.
Join us for Open Studios until Saturday 21 June. We are a working design studio based in Titchfield and will be selling original artwork, a range of hand made gifts and our own home and giftware collection at special prices.
