An exhibition bringing together marine-themed works from the outstanding collection of Southampton City Art Gallery to celebrate the shores of the south we inhabit. This eclectic selection of paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries, includes works by Richard Eurich, Spencer Gore and C.R.W. Nevinson.
The region’s long and varied relationship with the sea is reflected through these charming and historic works and includes rarely seen works conserved especially for the exhibition.

Through the words of those who knew David Brown and his exceptional contribution to the arts, this is the intriguing story of a remarkable man, collector and curator. Major artists from the 20th century are represented in this outstanding private collection of works, left as a bequest to Southampton City Art Gallery. The eclectic selection features work by Roger Fry, Gilbert & George, Richard Long, Roger Hilton and Howard Hodgkin to name a few.

The last two farewell gigs for All Action Hero have been splendid fun. So much so they thought they'd have another one. This one, just MAY, be the last one as we bid a fond farewell to Karl before he emigrates.
A band with a long history at the venue, it'd be wrong to do anything other than send them off with a huge ol' party, so that's exactly what we'll do. Joining them will be Final Clause of Tacitus, who have long been on our radar but not played at the venue.
