Buon Gusto Italian restaurant is at the heart of Southampton's cultural centre and the gateway to the City. On our a la cart menu created by Executive Chef and proprietor Leonardo Daniele, you will find all your favourite Italian dishes and some old family recipes from his home in Sicily. For those in a hurry either office workers at lunch or theatre goers for curtain call we offer a lunch and pre theatre set menu to ensure that you are out in plenty of time.

About Buon GustoBuon Gusto was established some 25 years ago and has over the years become a favourite of theatre goers however we have a very busy a la cart following due to our commitment to good service and quality cuisine. If you are a visitor to the city using the busy central station, the ever popular Mayflower theatre which is home to most of the biggest west end musicals and plays or the newly opened sea city and titanic museum you will find us ideally placed.We are aware in these austere times that dining out is more of a luxury than ever and we aim to make you experience one to remember so that you return time and time again. From a couple on a romantic night out to a large group celebration you will find this the ideal venue. Serving dishes lovingly prepared from family recipes, you’ll experience a culinary journey that will ensure you return time after time. Try authentic pastas, handmade pizzas, fresh fish, locally sourced steaks and handmade desserts, plus see our regularly updated specials board. A separate lunchtime menu is available from Monday-Friday.On our ground floor we have recently modernised so you will find an intimately lit cosy restaurant where we seat couples and small groups. On our first floor we cater for larger groups and all types of events. such as birthdays, engagements and large parties or corporate conference days.Meet The TeamLeonardo and Mark came together through a love and passion for food, service and the Industry as a whole. Both have a long history in hospitality and felt there combined experiences and individual talents back and front of house would make a great partnership. In 2009 they took over the restaurant which was in decline and had in fact liquidated and have worked tirelessly over the past three years to make it what it is today; one of the most popular restaurants in the city. From reception at the door to the kitchen porter throughout our young and energetic team really care about making your dining experience a memorable one so sit back relax and let us do what we do best.
