The Fairground Craft & Design Centre, offers Gallery exhibition space in a light and airy gallery on a heritage site in Weyhill just outside Andover. The Gallery is situated next to a family run tearoom. There are 11 other small craft studios on site to visit. The Gallery can be booked by individual artists or groups. Our aim is to provide exhibition space for emerging and local artists in the Test Valley and North Hampshire area. However we are happy to expand our geographical reach and take new artists from outside this area to give them the opportunity to exhibit. We are situated on the site of the historical Weyhill Fair and our studios and Gallery are all listed buildings rebuilt from the original hop booths and animal stalls from this old agricultural fair. We are open to the public 10am to 4pm Tuesdays to Saturdays and there is ample free parking. We have a tearoom and 11 individual craft studios also on site. We host a changing programme of exhibitions and are always looking for new artists to exhibit with us. We also run craft events and workshops from time to time. We would be interested in hearing from artists who would like to run workshops in the Gallery. The Gallery has 560 sq ft of wall display space. In addition we have four secure glass cabinets and some cube shelving.

See our website for details of workshops offered by our craft studios. Workshops in textiles, yarn skills, including wool lace making, papercrafts, and pen making (wood turning) are all available, Artists wanted to offer art workshops.

Rural craft fairs held from time to time on site. See website for details. Craft stallholders welcome at these events.

A changing programme of exhibitions take place in the Gallery. We are always looking for new artists to exhibit in the Gallery.

There is a family run Tearoom on site offering light lunches and snacks.

There is no admission charge to visit the Gallery or any of the craft studios on site. See the website for individual studio opening hours. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.

Invitation to Artists - Animal Theme

Here at the Fairground Craft & Design Centre Weyhill we are holding a Country Craft Fair the weekend of the 10th and 11th May. For the fortnight around that event we would like to host a Gallery exhibition of art work in all media, 2D and 3D on the theme 'All Things Animal'. There is no charge for this exhibition but we would take a commission on any sales. We are expecting a lot of extra visitors over that weekend so it is a good opportunity to put your work in front of an audience. We are also taking bookings from craft stallholders who would like to have a stall at this event. There is a charge for stallholders. As well as the All things Animal exhibition there will be rural craft demonstrators, a fun dog show, craft stalls, and a funfair during the course of the weekend. More details and booking forms can be obtained by email from info@fairgroundcraft.co,uk
