WELCOME to Latimer House Christchurch Vintage Workshops where we are very excited to start 2013 with the launch of our ‘homespun’ craft workshops.
Our vintage workshops coincides with the surge in popularity of up-cycling and homemade styling, popularised by Kirstie Allsopp in her Vintage themed Channel 4 shows. Kirsty encourages everyone to enter into the spirit of ‘have a go’ and to adopt a ‘make do and mend’ attitude experienced in a bygone era.
Latimer House is an eclectic homeware style boutique with items ranging from vintage sewing machines to shabby chic painted furniture...there is always something new and most of our items are hand made by local artisans.
We offer vintage inspired craft workshops from cupcake decorating, floristry, and beginners classes in knitting, crochet, applique, and learning to sew curtains, bags and cushions with many more being introduced. The workshops are held at our bespoke vintage craft workshop at Latimer House, Saxon Square, Christchurch, Dorset. All our tutors are experienced in their own skill sectors and most run their own busineses.
Thank you for such a fab day. I will be recommending Latimer House workshops. There is more to painting furniture than I thought! The day was very well done, I was made to feel welcome and the lunch and cakes were scrummy! Thank you very much.
