Alex's distinctive style has developed over 20 years working as an artist in a variety of creative disciplines, including textiles, arts administration, theatre design and art installations. Working with glass since 2006, she has found the perfect material to express her love of the natural environment, colour, light and space. The soft geometric shapes and vibrant colours of this range bring a touch of artistic vision to any interior. For the last 14 years Alex has worked to create public art installations that alter people's experience of a place. Her training and skill as a scenographer (designer for dance and performance) enables her to understand how we feel and experience spaces and objects. Using glass, light and sound she has installed some memorable artworks in places as diverse as Winchester Cathedral and a shopping centre in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Point Line Plane Glassware offers the opportunity for Alex to begin to work with private clients to produce bespoke glass commissions for interiors that create spaces for contemplation and joy within the home. The images on the right represent some of the different colourways Alex is currently working with and could be extended into splashbacks for kitchens or bathrooms, or wall panels for any room. Alex is happy to discuss your individual requirements, and to incorporate lighting and sound if appropriate

Point Line Plane Glassware produces high quality hand crafted glassware for individuals and businesses. The range is inspired by the ever changing colours, textures and light of the British countryside, particularly in Hampshire where artist and creative director Alex Hoare lives and has her studio.

Public Art

Alex has created public art installations with glass, light and sound that alter people's experience of a place. These include 'Font' for Winchester Cathedral which now resides in St Bartholomew's Church, Winchester and 'Just Passing Through', Swan Centre, Eastleigh. Visit www.alexhoare.co.uk.
