From The Little Mermaid to The Jungle Book, join Light UP for a Disney-themed drama workshop and sleepover. We’ll be taking some of Disney’s best-loved stories and characters to create a showcase of songs and scenes. We’ll then show off what we’ve learnt in a performance at the sleepover, during which we’ll work on a song and scene all together, take part in drama games, have a tasty fish-and-chip supper, then watch a film to wind down before bed. We'll bet your bottom dollar there’ll be fun at Acting UP’s Annie-themed drama workshop and sleepover. During this one-day children’s workshop we’ll be rehearsing the songs and script from the inspiring musical Annie. We’ll then show off what we’ve learnt in a performance at the sleepover, where we’ll work on a scene together, take part in drama games, enjoy a fish-and-chip supper, and then watch a film to wind down ready for bed. 'All Theatre Should be Physical' is a two-day performance bootcamp. On day one the group will explore different techniques to lift scripts off the page, and create new scenes that focus on visual aspects of theatre and performance. On day two, group members will bring in an item with which to create a short play. Both days run from 10-4pm with a performance to friends and family at 4pm on the second day. The days can be booked individually or together as a two-day workshop.
