Gerald Scarfe is the UK’s most prominent political cartoonist, known for his acerbic and uncompromising satire – his work has appeared in The Sunday Times for 50 years. Scarfe’s unmistakable characters and worlds have also been given life on stage and screen. From Pink Floyd’s The Wall (1979) to English National Ballet’s The Nutcracker (2002), this is the first UK touring exhibition to explore his extensive work in film, opera and ballet design.

The Night at the Races is a fun evening where you can enjoy a drink with your friends in comfortable surroundings whilst watching a selection of 8 horse races (flat races and over the jumps). You can place bets on the horses of your choice from a race programme. Many of the horses in the programme have amusing appropriate (or inappropriate!) names.

Local Leviathans Alternative Carpark had a quieter 2017 and it's just not cricket- so we booked them for a night of remembering why they're so utterly revered. Our Learn to Play day is open to all ages and is for anyone interested in having a go at an instrument or wants to be involved in music. We will have tours of all three studios available for those interested in music production or for artists thinking of recording. In the summer of 2016, the organisers of FolkEast Festival had the grand idea of pairing legendary fiddle player Peter Knight (ex-Steeleye Span) and melodeon player extraordinaire, John Spiers (ex-Bellowhead) for a special ‘one off’ concert at that year’s festival.
