May The Toys Be With You

Willis Museum and Sainsbury Gallery

This January, from a galaxy far, far away, an unmissable exhibition for Star Wars fans everywhere comes to Basingstoke. From X-Wing fighters to lightsabers, May The Toys Be With You is one of the UK’s finest collections of vintage Star Wars toys and original cinema posters. These fantastical designs became the playthings of a generation, and have fired our imaginations and stamped their place on our cultural landscape since the first film was released forty years ago.

All Action Hero farewell gig

The Lounge Bar Alton

The last two farewell gigs for All Action Hero have been splendid fun. So much so they thought they'd have another one. This one, just MAY, be the last one as we bid a fond farewell to Karl before he emigrates.

A band with a long history at the venue, it'd be wrong to do anything other than send them off with a huge ol' party, so that's exactly what we'll do. Joining them will be Final Clause of Tacitus, who have long been on our radar but not played at the venue.

This is Elizabeth’s story… What inspires a young Somerset land girl to set off in search of a bestselling author in the darkest days of war?
