This January, from a galaxy far, far away, an unmissable exhibition for Star Wars fans everywhere comes to Basingstoke. From X-Wing fighters to lightsabers, May The Toys Be With You is one of the UK’s finest collections of vintage Star Wars toys and original cinema posters. These fantastical designs became the playthings of a generation, and have fired our imaginations and stamped their place on our cultural landscape since the first film was released forty years ago.
Through the words of those who knew David Brown and his exceptional contribution to the arts, this is the intriguing story of a remarkable man, collector and curator. The eclectic selection features work by Roger Fry, Gilbert & George, Richard Long, Roger Hilton and Howard Hodgkin to name a few.
Join Sticks Gallery on the 24th November for the private view of Dewi Cary's new work, ENDING, comprising a film and photographic work. Dewi is a dyslexic artist who has experienced painful bouts of depression, which this new work explores.
