Hi my name is Amaya and I am 5. I have just had my birthday at Camp Bestival.
It was my 4th time at the Festival, it was very wet and muddy this year so we didn’t get to do everything we wanted to do, but it was still GREAT. I can’t wait to go back next year. Hopefully it will be sunny again!
I went with my mum, dad, baby brother and a whole load of friends, and even my grandma and grandad (who are older than 70) they came on the Sunday.
I’m excited to tell you about my most memorable parts of the festival …..I’ve got some photos to share with you too, I hope you like them.
I made a friend called Zak, he is really cool and funny. Zak taught me how to play thumb wars while our mums were waiting to buy these yummy doughnuts called Churros. Meeting new friends was lots of fun.
The Churros doughnuts were my favourite food of the weekend, long, hot, sugary, sausage shape doughnuts which you dip into chocolate sauce .. yum. My mummy and daddy really liked the spicy food in the feast collective tent – they spent a lot of time in there.
I loved the compost toilets the best as they are really colourful, we didn’t have to wait too long to use them, you take a cup of sawdust to drop into the toilet after you. This was funny and fun. We also used the call of nature posh toilets, my mum loved them best.
There was a huge Disco Ball at the festival which we all loved dancing around. There was a DJ called Sarah Cox on the Friday – all of my family and friends loved dancing to her music.
We spent a lot of time in the Bollywood tent; it was great because we managed to stay dry in here. We all dressed up as a Hip Hop family and my mum let me wear makeup which I loved.
On Sunday we visited art town to do the craft activities, there was so much to do .. Guitar making, hat making and so much more, I loved it here. Sadly we were a bit late and things were closing, next time we will get here early to do all the cool stuff.
One of my favourite things to do at Bestival is to have my face painted. I do it every year. This year I asked for a glitter tiger.
There was a really cool area for older kids. We couldn’t do all the activities here as we were too small but the beat boxing sounded really cool, I’d like to do this when I’m older.
We all had lots of fun practicing our circus skills, some of the mums and dads in our group were really rubbish which made us laugh a lot.
My 2 year old brothers loves Peppa Pig, so his favourite bit was all the muddy puddles, which he was allowed to play in.
There was so much more cool stuff but I can’t remember it all. I hope we go back next year, as we never got to do everything because of the rain
I hope you like my review ….
